Google is reportedly testing a new feature that would allow users to easily manage apps across multiple Android devices, as 9to5Google has spotted in a tweet. The feature would be available in the Google Play Store settings under the “Sync apps to devices” section, where users could choose to sync apps to all connected devices simultaneously.

This would complement the existing feature that allows users to install apps from one device to another when linked to their accounts. Previously, this feature was only available for smartwatches, Android TV devices, and tablets, but it has been quietly expanded to smartphones recently.

By syncing apps across all Android devices, users would no longer have to manually install apps on each device, making it easier to switch between devices without worrying about missing apps. This new feature would provide a convenient solution for those who use multiple Android devices, enabling them to keep track of their installed apps across all devices more efficiently.

Overall, this new feature is expected to make the app management process more manageable and hassle-free for Android users.

The Google Play Store is a digital distribution platform for Android apps, games, music, movies, TV shows, and books. It was originally launched on October 22, 2008, as the Android Market and was the first official app store for the Android operating system.

In March 2012, the Android Market was rebranded as the Google Play Store and expanded its offerings to include not only apps but also other forms of digital entertainment. The rebranding aimed to consolidate Google’s digital media offerings under a single brand and make it easier for users to discover and access a wide variety of content.

Since then, the Google Play Store has grown to become one of the largest and most popular app stores in the world, offering millions of apps, games, and other digital content.
