Samsung has now published the Android 12 update for the Galaxy A22 5G, after the release of the Android 12 update for the Galaxy A02s, Galaxy A03s, and Galaxy A21s yesterday. Malaysia and Thailand are the first two countries to get the update.

A226BXXU4BVF7 is the firmware version for the Galaxy A22 5G’s Android 12 upgrade. Android 11 was pre-installed on the device when it was unveiled in June 2021. At the very least, there will be one more upgrade in the next year.

Go to Settings » Software update and choose Download and install to begin installing Android 12 on your Galaxy A22 5G.

New features

  • One UI 4.1 and the June 2022 security patch are included in this release. The Material You-based Color Palette option is part of the new UI design that comes with the upgrade. New widget designs and larger sliders for display settings and volume are among the other enhancements, including an improved Dark Mode.
  • All of Samsung’s standard applications, including Camera, Gallery, My Files, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard, have also been upgraded by the company. The camera app’s interface has been simplified, and video recording begins as soon as the shutter button is pressed. The image editor has a history of edits and the ability to fix unclear photos.
  • Improved anti-tracking mechanisms, a new home screen tool for surfing the internet, and the ability to open a web browser in the Secret Mode are all new features in Samsung Internet. New and enhanced features for accessibility, Picture-in-Picture mode, and the Edge Panels have all been added.
  • The menu for sharing has been improved a little bit. In fact, you may customize it to reflect your own preferences for software and contacts. When you share a picture, you may erase the image’s date, location, and time. Grammarly-powered writing recommendations and quicker navigation to stickers as well as animated emoji are now available on Samsung Keyboard.
  • In addition to the Privacy Dashboard, simple toggles to activate or deactivate the camera and microphone, plus privacy indications for camera & microphone use, the Galaxy A22 5G has been given enhanced privacy and security safeguards. The design of the Device Care tab has also been revamped.
