Fortnite Becomes Forbidden in Specific Asian Country, Along With Epic Games, Steam, Yahoo, and More

Those who were playing Fortnite or accessing services such as Epic Games, Steam, Yahoo, and others no longer have those privileges if they live in Indonesia. The Asian country’s government decided to block users’ access to those services and to the famous battle royale game, according to Reuters.

PayPal has also been included in the list of banned services, but the Indonesian government temporarily rolled back the decision so that users will gain access to their money. Obviously, a lot of people got frustrated over the initial decision to block access to PayPal.

The decision of the Indonesian government to halt access to Fortnite and the online services mentioned was based on failure to comply with new rules regarding licensing. The dead end was set on July 29 for the services to obey the new rules.

 

The Indonesian authorities can now block access to content that’s considered disturbing to public order, and it seems that for one reason or another, Fortnite and the online services mentioned fall into that category.

But there is hope in all this dark equation, as the authorities are willing to lift the ban if the companies register with the Indonesian database.

The harsh decision comes at a time when Fortnite is preparing for a crossover with Dragon Ball to introduce characters such as Goku and Vegeta to the game. There’s no telling when exactly the update will land, but that doesn’t stop the online realm from speculating and harnessing those speculations that already exist. Judging by the information we have, it seems that Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and Bulma will be those Dragon Ball characters who will jump into the battle royale frenzy.
