FIFA 23: A Female Footballer Will Be Among the Cover Stars

It’s only a matter of time until FIFA 23 will arrive in the gaming world, and EA will reveal a trailer. We’re expecting the football simulation game to land at some point in September. We have all the reasons to be excited, as EA promised us that FIFA 23 would be the best game in the entire series.

Every FIFA game has its cover stars, and FIFA 23 won’t be an exception. The iconic players Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will be left aside this time, and it’s completely understandable. Ronaldo is 37 years old, while Messi is 35. No disrespect intended to those legendary players, but as Gianluigi Buffon once said: time is like a tyrant who doesn’t spare anyone.

Kylian Mbappé and Sam Kerr will be the cover stars in FIFA 23

A trusted FIFA leaker brings the surprising news via Twitter that Sam Kerr will be one of the cover stars in the upcoming FIFA game, alongside the well-known prodigy Kylian Mbappé. While everybody expected the striker of PSG and the French National Team to appear as a cover star, perhaps most football fans don’t even know who Sam Kerr is. We’re talking about a female Australian football player who plays for Chelsea in the FA Women’s Super League.

Football is certainly not a sport that only men practice, so seeing a woman as one of the cover stars in FIFA 23 will surely be a delight. Female football has been included in the FIFA game series for a few years already. EA seems to be supporting gender equality with such a move.

The news cannot surprise us too much, considering the presence of Mbappé as one of the cover stars in FIFA 23. Just a few days ago, we shared the news about the French superstar receiving the highest-rated card in the upcoming game.
