Dead by Daylight – Players Fear Upcoming Update Will Spell the End of THESE 2 Useful Perks

Although the next Mid-Chapter Update for Dead by Daylight hasn’t yet been made available, users have already asserted that a couple of perks will be extinct because of a teaser that was released this week.

Popular Survivor choices for the two perks are Dead Hard and Circle of Healing. In terms of what perks consistently perform well on Survivors, both have been regarded as meta choices or close to it.

Although both of them have had their strengths and weaknesses altered several times in the past in response to greater demand, players now appear more certain that this Mid-Chapter Update will actually be the final straw.

The Mid-Chapter Update preview acknowledged the predominance of these advantages by stating that Dead Hard is one of the “most prominent Survivor perks.”

At the moment, it functions by enabling hurt Survivors to press the active ability button to temporarily give themselves the “Endurance” buff and lessen damage from a Killer’s approaching attack.

This obviously rewards players who use this perk at the right time, but in the future, we will need to help another survivor in order to actually trigger this perk.

The preview for the update stated that “Dead Hard would activate after safely unhooking a Survivor. Whenever activated, press the active ability button when injured and running to gain the Endurance Status Effect for 0.5 seconds, and then become Exhausted. Dead Hard will deactivate when it  protects the user from damage.”

When it comes to healing benefits, Circle of Healing, an ability that has previously been discussed, is generally seen as the “jack of all trades” by players.

Currently, it allows them to heal without a Med-Kit and also speeds up healing for those in the Boon Totem’s area of effect.

However, in a shocking turn of events, it appears that the ability’s Self Care-like effect will be completely eliminated.

Behavior Interactive shared that “Going forward, Boon: Circle of Healing will no longer let Survivors heal without a Med Kit. Instead, it’ll provide a 40-50 percent healing speed bonus to healing others. This bonus will not apply to any healing done using a Med Kit. Additionally, the injured Survivors auras with the Boon’s range will be revealed to all of the other Survivors.”

While some people will undoubtedly argue that the nerfs were justified, others have already declared that the benefits are no longer available.

Some believe that Dead Hard got the better end of the deal, while there are also some that are hopeful it will change the game’s meta to be more chase oriented.

The release date for the Mid-Chapter Update is yet to be announced.
