YouTube TV Enhances Its Multiview Feature

YouTube TV is enhancing its multiview feature, moving beyond sports content and including weather, news, and more. Initially limited to special events such as the NCAA tournament, YouTube is now testing the feature with pre-defined multiview streams that mix various types of content.

The information was spotted by XDA, and the rollout will occur gradually over the next few months, with a full release expected by the end of summer. In other words, make sure to keep your smart TV or smartphone connected to the internet.

YouTube TV’s official Twitter account released the following statement:

And, we’re ROLLING 🔴🎥

Starting today in the Home tab, a small portion of members will see us testing up to 5 brand new multiview streams that will be available to watch 24/7 across news, sports, business news, weather, and Deportes.

Currently, the new feature is available only on streaming devices and TVs, not on tablets or smartphones. While users don’t have the possibility to create their own channel pairings yet, YouTube is taking a cautious approach and plans to continue testing, including broadcasting NFL Sunday Ticket later this year.

YouTube TV is a live TV streaming service that was launched by YouTube six years ago. The service aimed to provide an alternative to traditional cable and satellite TV services. A selection of popular cable and broadcast channels was offered for a monthly subscription fee.

Over the years, YouTube TV expanded its channel lineup and added features such as multi-screen viewing, cloud DVR, and personalized recommendations. The service gained popularity for its user-friendly interface and flexibility, allowing users who subscribe to watch their favorite shows and sports events on various devices.

YouTube TV never stops evolving, offering a convenient and customizable streaming experience for cord-cutters around the world.
