Why You Should Delete Google Chrome From Your Android Phone

Without a doubt, Google’s Chrome browser has gathered a lot of people using it from mobile phones. Those having gadgets that run on Android are more numerous, however, which is obvious. The Android operating system was also created by Google.

According to The Sun, highly sensitive data of people using Chrome from Android phones could be taken away by unwanted sources. As a result, these users are warned to delete the app from their devices.

Facebook and Google are opting for unethical practices

Facebook is being accused that it’s mining the critical private data of people and ultimately pinpointing locations and spying on users.

Zak Doffman, who’s a cybersecurity writer for Forbes, wrote as quoted by the famous publication:

While Facebook was collecting this information for itself, Chrome is happy to collect it for others — essentially enabling a free-for-all when it comes to hugely sensitive information about your every activity, your every behavior.

He also added that the browser allows websites to tap into the device’s sensors. As in the case of Google, it even tells the users that it’s recommended to keep the access enabled.

Unfortunately or not, many Android phones have Google Chrome pre-installed, which means that uninstalling it could turn out to be pretty difficult.

The most popular browser for smartphones

According to StatCounter.com, Chrome is easily the most popular browser for smartphones. But we all know that popularity doesn’t also mean quality.

Luckily, there are a lot of alternatives out there when it comes to browsing apps for phones! Safari, Opera, Mozilla Firefox, and others are always available.

What do you think about the news? Would you be willing to uninstall Google Chrome from your phone? What browser would you use instead? Feel free to tell us in the comment section!
