The ‘Quick Resume’ Function From Xbox Series X/S Has Improved

Microsoft took gaming to a whole new advanced level back in late 2020 through the release of its new Xbox Series X and S consoles. Whether we’re talking about Ray Tracing, 4K visuals, and many more, they’re all present on the Redmond-based tech giant’s new gaming consoles.

But we all know how things usually go in technology in general and for gaming in particular. And even in life, overall. There’s always room for improvement. And if you don’t look for ways of improvement in a market that’s constantly harnessing competition, you’re the victim of oblivion.

Microsoft also knows that lesson very well, which is why it still brings updates to its new Xbox consoles. A recent one will surely delight you if you have an Xbox Series X or S at home.

The ‘Pin to Quick Resume’ becomes available

Microsoft is now enhancing the good old ‘Quick Resume’ function. Here’s the explanation of what the new ‘Pin to Quick Resume’ function has to offer, as quoted from Microsoft’s Xbox website:

Quick Resume is powered by the technical capabilities of the innovative Xbox Velocity Architecture in Xbox Series X|S. It lets you seamlessly switch between multiple games and resume gameplay instantly from where you left off. With this update, you can now pin up to two games in Quick Resume on your Xbox Series X|S consoles. Your pinned games will only drop out of Quick Resume if you manually remove them or if a game takes a mandatory update.

Back in November, we knew about another piece of news revealing that the Xbox Cloud Gaming service has been made available for Xbox consoles. It’s great to see that cloud gaming technology has received more and more attention in recent years, as it’s a lot more convenient to pay for a monthly subscription than to upgrade your hardware components just to play some new games.
