‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ is No Longer on 1st Place in the Amazon Prime Show

The Lord of the Rings is back in business in 2022 with a brand new series called The Rings of Power. It’s already rated pretty well on IMDb, and it has been the main show in the Amazon Prime Show, where it was ranking 1st.

For about six weeks, the new Lord of the Rings series has maintained high into that first position. But it has been confirmed once again that nothing lasts forever, not even when it comes to Lord of the Rings, as the series was dethroned.

‘The Peripheral’ takes the lead

‘The Peripheral’ is a show based on the novel by William Gibson, and it has only two episodes available so far. The series presents a scenario where the technology of the future has altered society. At the same time, a woman discovers a secret connection to an alternate reality. VR headsets are also present in the show, although they may be far more advanced than anything humanity has ever experienced in the real world.

The Peripheral is now ranking 1st within the Amazon Prime Show, dethroning Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Stuck in a small Appalachian town, a young woman’s only escape from the daily grind is playing advanced video games. She is such a good player that a company sends her a new video game system to test…but it has a surprise in store. It unlocks all of her dreams of finding a purpose, romance, and glamour in what seems like a game…but it also puts her and her family in real danger.

In the top cast of The Peripheral, we have Chloë Grace Moretz as Flynne Fisher, Gary Carr as Wilf Netherton, Jack Reynor as
Burton Fisher, Louis Herthum as Corbell Pickett, and Chris Coy as Jasper Baker, just to say the least.
