The Last Of Us: More Fixes Are on Their Way For to Solve Some PC Port Bugs

Further hotfixes have been released by Naughty Dog and Nvidia, and there are indications that the game will eventually appear on Steam Deck. Well, that’s some excellent news, isn’t it?! Naughty Dog and co-developer Iron Galaxy are “closely watching player reports to support future improvements and patches,” according to the patch notes for the game’s v1.0.1.7 release. Nvidia claims that its hotfix driver Version 531.58 is intended to increase game stability when playing on RTX 30-series graphics cards.

The Last of Us is still not great despite these patches and those from last week. For example, the camera jitters when you play with a mouse rather than a gamepad, according to Naughty Dog, and that bug won’t be fixed until a later patch. Such a shame, right?
The game’s “Known Problems” page has become a popular thing because it accurately highlights a ton of issues that are still present.

In addition to fixes for several bugs, enhancements are also included in the changelog. The game should now correctly read Xbox controller stick inputs once the default graphics settings have been restored and additional features have been included to make it simpler for the developers to identify problems.

BONUS: You’ll have the choice of “extra GPU diagnostic tools” for your subsequent play session if the game fails as a result of a GPU bug.

The game will ultimately be validated for Valve’s Steam Deck, according to Naughty Dog. But, the corporation is “prioritizing repairs and patches before submitting it for verification,” according to the above-mentioned official tweet from Monday (April 3).

If you think about this, having The Last of Us on Steam Deck doesn’t really serve a purpose if it’s still a bit of a mess, so that seems like the proper decision. But we’ll wait for further news and see what we can get!

Stay tuned to be the first to know!
