The First Official Apple Stores Open Up in India

Here’s one fact that nobody can possibly deny: India is teeming with tech experts and those who are passionate about smartphones. That’s not just because we’re talking about one of the most populated countries in the world. India is known for being very implicated in the tech industry, especially when it comes to mobile gadgets and programming.

Therefore, it was only a matter of time before the first Apple stores opened in India. That moment has finally arrived. Apple remains one of the first three companies in the mobile sector when we’re talking about success and popularity.

India wants at least 30% of Apple’s production

The news of the first Apple stores opening up in India comes from the Cupertino-based giant’s official website. Also, India demands a minimum of 30% of Apple’s production to remain on the Asian country’s territory.

India’s capital New Delhi now hosts an Apple store, which means that the residents should have the chance to find their favorite products made by the Cupertino-based giant, such as iPhones and tablets, without having to order them online.

A quote coming from the Apple Newsroom writes:

Apple Saket opened today in the heart of India’s thriving capital of New Delhi. The new retail location serves as a welcoming space where customers can shop Apple’s full lineup of products and services, receive exceptional support from team members, and learn how to get the most out of their devices by participating in free Today at Apple sessions.

Let’s face it: there’s no use in sitting tight as and choosing to order products online if you have a physical store near your house. Not everybody is a fan of ordering online, and we have to understand their reasons. Ordering online instead of physically going to the store will rob you of human interaction, which is so necessary now, considering that the pandemic restrictions are gone!

It’s estimated that in India, roughly 40 million people use iPhones. That means about 3% of the total population of the Asian country, which consists of 1.39 billion souls. Most likely, those numbers will soon increase.
