Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is Out Now; What’s the Best Song So Far?

With the coming out of her re-recorded album “Taylor’s Version” of her previous album Speak Now, Taylor Swift is getting set to re-introduce another era. During the initial of her three Eras Tour gigs in Nashville in May, Taylor Swift made the first announcement that her album from 2010 would be the next record in the revival lineup. She subsequently shared the announcement on social media after the show.

The album, which consists of 22 tracks, was released on Thursday evening (July 7), and to celebrate, Swift took to social media, writing:

It’s here. It’s yours, it’s mine, it’s ours. It’s an album I wrote alone about the whims, fantasies, heartaches, dramas, and tragedies I lived out as a young woman between 18 and 20.

Following the re-recorded albums Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version), both of which were released back in 2021, the singer-songwriter now joins Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). The singer first claimed in 2019 that she would re-record her songbook in order to own her masters, despite the fact that her albums Taylor Swift (2006), 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017) have not yet been made available for purchase.

What are your thoughts so far about Taylor Swift’s re-recording development?

Swift famously altered a phrase in her song “Better Than Revenge (Taylor’s Version)” in the wake of criticism that the initial line was “slut shaming,” despite the fact that the album contains tracks that are original to the artist. The re-recorded version of the song now included the phrase, “He was a moth to the flame, she was holding the matches,” in its place of the original lyric, “She’s better known for the things that she does on the mattress.”

Swift’s debut studio album, Speak Now, was honored with a Grammy nomination for best country album as well as wins for best country solo act and best country track for the song “Mean.”
