Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Series’ Improved Performance Thanks to This New Chipset

The next-gen Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series is already stirring quite the buzz, and the rumor mill doesn’t help that much because it is spreading quite the details. As we’ve grown familiar with Samsung’s ways of unveiling its greatest gadgets, during Unpacked events in August, for instance, now we come across some fresh leaks about the Galaxy Watch 6 series. Rumors that could totally raise our expectations high! The Galaxy Watch 6’s processor has now been revealed, hinting at an improved performance.

According to SamMobile, a newer CPU will power the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series: the Exynos W980 chipset. Going further with digging into other juicy details, the report also claims that it is more than 10% quicker than the Exynos W920 used in the Galaxy Watch 4 and 5 series.

If the rumors turn out to be accurate, that means Samsung will finally upgrade the Watch 6 series after two years! The Galaxy Watch 5 models didn’t receive an update to the CPU, which was really disappointing for some users. Instead, it came with tons of cool features.

Now, what’s the deal with the processor, you may ask?

Exynos W980 has not yet been made public. The chipset could utilize Samsung’s 5nm manufacturing tech, meaning hello, longer battery life, and improved watch experience! That’s something we all look forward to for the Galaxy Watch 6 series.

Unfortunately, SamMobile’s report doesn’t include any further specs or features on the Galaxy Watch 6 series other than what has already been told. However, based on rumors, we know that the tech giant’s next wearables would have a larger, higher-resolution display with fewer bezels (yay for this!). As per a previous report from last month, Samsung may reintroduce the rotating bezel for one Galaxy Watch 6 model only. Well, that’s something we can bet our money on, isn’t it?!

This summer, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Watch 6 series during the Unpacked event. The number of rumors and leaks on the impending smart wearables appears to increase as we get closer to the big event.
