The latest Samsung smartphone, the Galaxy S23, has raised eyebrows due to its excessively large system partition, which takes up 60GB of storage right out of the box, according to ArsTechnica. This is largely due to Samsung’s shoddy software division that pumps out low-quality code, as well as the company’s desire to have its own non-Google ecosystem, resulting in multiple versions of the same apps.
Samsung also sells space on its devices to third parties, leading to pre-installed crapware that takes up even more storage. Samsung’s operating system is a mess, lacking the A/B system partition feature present in most flagships, meaning that updates take longer and the system partition will continue to grow over time. The S23 Ultra model offers more storage space, with sizes up to 1TB.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 boasts an impressive set of specifications, including a 6.1-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The camera is no less impressive, featuring a 50MP lens that is capable of capturing stunning 4320p images. Powering the device is an 8GB RAM and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, ensuring that it can handle even the most demanding of tasks with ease. The 3900mAh Li-Ion battery ensures that the device lasts all day long, so you can keep using it without worrying about running out of juice.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 boasts a range of impressive features to enhance your smartphone experience. For security and ease of use, the device comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor that is located under the display and uses ultrasonic technology. Additionally, the device features an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer, providing a comprehensive range of sensors to enhance your experience.
In terms of productivity, the Samsung Galaxy S23 offers Samsung DeX and Samsung Wireless DeX, allowing for a seamless desktop experience. The device also comes with Bixby, a powerful AI-powered voice assistant that enables you to control your device with natural language commands and dictation.
For convenient and secure payment options, the Samsung Galaxy S23 is certified for use with Samsung Pay, supporting both Visa and MasterCard.
