Samsung Galaxy S23 Users in the US Receive a Camera Update

The new Samsung Galaxy S23 series has been around since its launch in February, and the public has received it quite well. It was well-known for months since the launch itself that Samsung would create a very powerful flagship, and the release confirmed pretty much all of the rumors regarding the new phones’ specs and features.

Some folks were even tempted to claim that the guys from Samsung got a screw loose when they established all of the impressive capabilities of the Galaxy S23 series. The cherry on top was likely represented by the addition of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset instead of an Exxynos processor, as many people were expecting. Samsung decided to opt for a foreign firm to create the chipset of its newest flagship series, but it was definitely worth it.

The April 2023 security update becomes available for Galaxy S23 users in the US

According to SamMobile, the new April 2023 security update that became available for Samsung Galaxy S23 users in the US brings important camera improvements that already were available previously for markets of Europe, Asia, and South Korea.

The camera improvements consist in features such as a faster delete functionality in the case of images and videos that were captured only seconds ago, capturing a photo as soon as the user presses the shutter button and even if the autofocus is locked. We also have to keep in mind that due to the new update, the ultrawide camera will be able to shoot sharper videos under low-light conditions and in Super Steady Mode.

It doesn’t even matter if you live in the US and you have a Samsung Galaxy S23 that’s unlocked or carrier-locked; you’re still getting the new update.

The security patch also fixes more than 60 security vulnerabilities that were detected by experts on Samsung smartphones.

The firmware version for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S23 series is S91xUSQU1AWC8, while the firmware version coming to the unlocked versions of the flagship series is S91xU1UEU1AWC8.

If you’re using a Samsung Galaxy S23 in the US and the new April 2023 security update hasn’t arrived to you yet, there’s no use going bonkers. Just try to be patient and keep your phone connected to your WiFi network, as it could take a while until the update rolls out to everybody.
