Price and Availability for Amazon’s First TV

The market of TV’s is already very crowded with manufacturers willing to impress as many people as possible with their creations. Even so, Amazon, one of the world’s most successful companies, brings its own gadget into the field.

Amazon released two sets under the AmazonBasics brand from India, according to Engadget.com: a 55-inch and a 50-inch model. 4K LED displays are available for both, but also HDR 10, HLG, and Dolby Vision.

We can still expect the availability to extend, and the two models also come with Fire OS 7 and an Alexa voice remote. Amazon’s involvement in the area won’t stop anytime soon. AFTVnews reveals that Amazon is aiming to release three additional TV models in the future, such as two smaller and more affordable 1080p and 720p models.

Price starts at $410

If you want to get your hands on either of Amazon’s gadgets, you must pay ₹34,999 (~$480 USD) for the 55-inch model or ₹29,999 (~$410 USD) for the 50-inch variant.

Amazon’s involvement in other areas except e-commerce is not anything new. The famous company also arrived in the gaming business with the Luna platform. More precisely, we’re talking about a cloud gaming service, which is a relatively new technology. Traditional gaming subscriptions require for the user to acquire some powerful hardware, but things change drastically when cloud gaming comes into the scene. With a cloud gaming service such as GeForce Now, Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, and others, the user has at his disposal a virtual PC packed with powerful components for running even the most demanding titles.

Amazon is doing well regardless of the field it’s involved. The notorious company reported a revenue of $280.5 billion for the year 2019, and there’s no reason to believe that the numbers will go down.
