Pixel Artist Imagines Street Fighter 6 Characters In Older Games

Alan Not Allen, a self-described “professionally amateur artist,” has contributed some entertaining visual imagery in which he imagines how popular combat and video game characters may look if they were set in a more traditional era.

Even though it looks quite basic by today’s standards, some 20 years after its release, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike is often regarded as one of the most aesthetically pleasing entries in the whole franchise. Alan has made sprites for modern and updated versions of characters in the manner of Third Strike, Street Fighter 1, and Street Fighter 2.

We begin with Blanka, who is not quite Street Fighter 6 Blanka but is the Corporate Fortnite Blanka that appeared in April. A lot of people were surprised to see Blanka with a suit and sunglasses, and their responses were all over the internet.

In the following, we will be introducing Street Fighter 6 In this flashback, Ryu and Ken visit the days of Street Fighter 2. From across the Suzaku Castle stage, a particularly wide and bearded Ryu looks at his old comrade with a lot less clarity than we’re used to seeing from him.

In the third image, Jamie and Chun-Li are transformed into Third Strike versions of themselves. With a filter that makes it look like we’re watching them on a television from the 1990s, the World’s Strongest Woman confronts the Best Player.

Alan throws a character from Capcom’s monster hunting series, Monster Hunter, into the iconic fighting game, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and the two games are a perfect fit for each other. A few additional faces from Guilty Gear and King of Fighters make an appearance, and we get a glimpse of what Akuma and Chun may have looked like if they had been included in the original Street Fighter in 1987.
