Most people planning to travel during the current COVID-19 pandemic will encounter some degree of risk, whether they’re simply staying close to home or thinking far beyond their usual stomping grounds. However, if you really have to travel, it is best to be informed beforehand.
At a state level, there aren’t too many mask requirements although there are a few. California has imposed mask mandates for anybody attending a 1,000-fold indoor gathering and Connecticut has unvaccinated mask requirements and some additional municipal limitations in public indoor areas. Hawaii has capacity restrictions at some locations, and masks are required in indoor public venues for anyone aged above 5 years. Kansas has mask regulations in government facilities.
Only four states have limitations on travel across the country and are only in force for non-vaccinated travelers. The four states are Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, and Oregon. The rules vary from testing to quarantine.
In order to remain safe when traveling you should also take into account all safety measures:
For the non-essential trip commencing in November, the government revealed intentions to permit visiting fully vaccinated non-American individuals. Vaccination and a COVID-19 negative test result did three days or less before departure are to be presented by foreign visitors.
