As it happens when we start a new year, we have to remind ourselves that Apple is preparing a new flagship. Although the iPhone 14 lineup will arrive around September, we can already learn a few stuff about it.
We know you don’t like those camera notches placed on a phone’s screen. Neither do us. And probably nobody likes them. Cutting a few pixels for adding a front camera is simply a bad way of handling things.
Wccftech.com reveals that according to Mark Gurman, Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 flagship won’t be featuring a notch anymore. Instead, the handset will be sporting a hole-punch display.
Hole-punch displays surely aren’t something new, and it will be interesting to find out how Apple will implement them for its future iPhones. There’s a chance that FaceID would be used as well, along with the hole-punch display.
The notch has also been present for Apple’s iPhone 13 lineup. This is a bit surprising, but overall, those smartphones were of top quality. Perhaps that made users not complain about the notch too bad.
It’s enough to take a look at the specs of iPhone 13 to realize what its successor might bring. Obviously, iPhone 14 can’t be anywhere lower. Apple speaks about its flagship lineup for last year that it features the tech giant’s most advanced dual-camera system ever. “A lightning-fast chip that leaves the competition behind” is also present, referring to the A15 Bionic processor built by Apple itself.
Perhaps the best feature for Apple’s iPhone 13 lineup is the implementation of the waterproof function. Nowadays, a lot of folks are addicted to their smartphones, and staying away from them when it’s raining outside is excruciating pain. Sure, the waterproof function is not anything new for smartphones nowadays, but it’s nice to see that it keeps being considered by manufacturers.
