New Video Reveals How Robots Assemble and Test Samsung’s New Foldable Phones

Samsung seems to consolidate the new trend of foldable phones. One display seems to not be enough anymore in 2022, as a lot of people are preferring devices such as Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 or the more recent one, Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Samsung has now shared a short video with the world where everyone can see a bit of the building process for its foldable gadgets, and the footage mostly focuses on the latest sensation Galaxy Z Fold 4, which started shipping just two days ago. As expected, the work is done by robots, and it’s surely no child’s play. The device is indeed a flagship, considering that it’s equipped with a Snapdragon 8-Gen 1 processor, 12GB of RAM, and a main Foldable Dynamic AMOLED display of 7.6 inches and 120Hz for its refresh rate, just to say the least.

Apart from the assemble part itself, we can also see how the robotic hands are testing some of Z Fold 4’s functions, such as the resistance to water or even the folding itself. It’s all done by robots, which is amazing to see! Behold:

The world sure needs more phones equipped with resistance to water and dust. We’re expecting to see such function more for entry-level or at least midrange phones in the future.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the successor of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 model that came out last year in August, and the first noticeable difference when you take a peek at the spec lists is represented by the processor. While Fold 4 carries a Snapdragon 8-Gen 1, as we said, its “older brother” only comes equipped with the Snapdragon 888 5G.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is priced at about $850, while you’ll have to pay almost double if you want a Galaxy Z Fold 4 in your pocket: about $1,560.
