Apple introduced last year its brand-new M1 chipset as part of the Apple Silicon and its series of processors based on this ARM architecture. Now, the rumor mill is stirring quite the buzz around the next-gen Apple MacBook Pro models and even a more powerful chipset.
Fresh reports claim that the tech giant will bring soon the next-gen M1X chipsets.
Here is what you need to know.
As previously mentioned, new reports fuel some incredible speculations that the upcoming MacBook Pro models will feature the M1X chipset expected to make its debut in September.
The reports are now supported by an EEC listing that says we should expect two devices wearing the model numbers A2442 and A2485.
The EEC listing reveals the two models, but they don’t match with those in Apple’s current inventory.
Notably, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claimed that the tech giant is gearing up to release the new Mac devices featuring the M1X processor in the fall.
Gurman had also said that Apple might bring the high-end Mac Minis, as well, and launch the MacBook Pro in 2022.
However, even if that sounds ambitious and promising, Apple didn’t confirm or announce anything. So, it’s better if we take everything with a pinch of salt.
Design and display details
The upcoming MacBook Pro models are likely to flaunt a 14-inch and a 16-inch pane and a flat-edged design.
Connectivity features
As for the connectivity specs, the devices are expected to pack a MagSafe charging port, an HDMI port, and an SD card slot reader.
The next-gen M1X processor is also likely to make its debut in September this year.
However, as Apple keeps everything under wraps, we can’t tell for sure when the big launch event will happen.
