‘Roman Space Observer’ is the name of NASA’s video game, according to SciTechDaily.com. There’s no use expecting anything fancy – it’s only a retro game that reminds us of those ‘ancient’ 8-bit games for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). But even so, the game seems like a nice attempt to promote astronomy, especially for the little ones.

Our goal for this game is to inform and inspire players about the amazing cosmic objects in our universe and what Roman may be able to see in a fun and engaging way.

The player’s goal will have to find as many space objects as possible by using Roman detectors. He can even find black holes or dark matter. But at the same time, the player can aim for the more common space objects such as galaxies or exoplanets.
