Microsoft Will Release Two New Surface Laptops Soon

Microsoft is preparing the release of two new Surface laptops soon, and we already know some interesting specs about them. Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5 will be the new stars of the show starting in October, and at least one of the two laptops will be featuring a touch display as well. That’s indeed useful for those moments when you want to use a laptop without waking up your roommate, for instance.

German site WinFuture brings the news about the two upcoming Microsoft laptops. The two gadgets can easily land into the ‘flagship’ category, as they both cost well over 1,000 euros each. However, the specs are also pretty high-end themselves.

Featuring the 12th-generation of Intel CPUs

The two future Microsoft laptops are likely to come equipped with the 12th-generation of CPUs from Intel. They’ll also be capable of up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage space.

The report stated:

Microsoft is currently preparing to launch the Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5, which are likely to be presented by the company at a hardware event in mid-October.

The minimum price of the Surface Pro 9 will be 1,300 euros, while the Surface Laptop 5 will be priced at a minimum of 1,200 euros. However, the latter also comes in a larger display variant that will cost 1,500 euros. Surface Laptop 5 is expected to carry the Intel Core i5-1235U and the Core i7-1255U from the Intel “Alder Lake” series.

Microsoft released the Surface Pro 8 last year, and there’s no wonder why the Redmond-based company calls it “the most powerful Pro.” It “combines the power of a laptop with the flexibility of a tablet.” Surface Pro 8 has a starting price of $800, and it assures an all-day battery (up to 16 hours of battery life).
