Metal Gear Solid Remasters Will Lack Keyboard and Mouse Support on PC

The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, which is a highly anticipated release, has disappointed PC gamers by lacking support for a keyboard and mouse. The collection, which features the first five Metal Gear games, will require a controller for those willing to play on PC, as Exputer reveals.

On the other hand, the original PC ports of Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 supported the keyboard and mouse. Although the now-removed Steam store pages for the games have sparked speculation, it remains uncertain if this was an actual decision or a mistake. This setback is disheartening for fans who have long awaited an official, improved PC experience, having relied on emulation or patchy ports in the past.

Additionally, leaks suggest a Metal Gear Solid 4 remaster and a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 are also in the works.

In case you’re wondering which is the best Metal Gear Solid game, you must keep in mind that opinions on the best Metal Gear Solid game often vary among fans, as each installment offers unique experiences for the players. However, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is often regarded as one of the standout entries in the series. Released almost two decades ago, in 2004, for the PlayStation 2, it serves as a prequel to the original Metal Gear games.

Metal Gear Solid is a famous game franchise known for its immersive storytelling and stealthy gameplay. It began way back in 1987 with the release of the original Metal Gear, but it was the 1998 release of Metal Gear Solid for PlayStation that made the series face success.

Developed by Hideo Kojima, the Metal Gear Solid series continued to captivate players with its complex narratives, cinematic cutscenes, and innovative gameplay mechanics. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots followed, expanding the story and introducing memorable characters such as Solid Snake and Big Boss. The series has since spawned numerous spin-offs, remakes, and continued to push the boundaries of interactive storytelling.
