Meta Brings Significant Price Increase for the Quest 2 VR Headset

In the recent future, perhaps nobody will be willing anymore to play video games just by looking at a flat screen. Virtual Reality technology will likely become a lot more popular among gamers, and Meta will likely remain one of the key players in this big picture.

The Oculus Quest 2 VR headset was created by Facebook Reality Labs and launched in late 2020. Those willing to use it were able to grab such a headset for a fairly reasonable price. But you know what they say that nothing lasts forever!

An increase of $100

Meta is increasing the prices for both the 128GB and 256GB versions of the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset by 100 bucks. That’s surely not an increase to be neglected, and the reason behind the decision is the tech giant’s intention to continue the investments in the evolution of the VR industry.

The move will occur very soon, on August 1. As a result, the 128GB version of the Quest 2 headset will cost $399.99, while those willing to purchase the 256GB version will need to pay $499.99. The decision was announced by Meta itself, so there’s no room for misinterpretation:
