Mass Effect 5: 2023 The Release Date Year?

The Mass Effect series will continue with a brand new title that’s set to arrive at some point in the future. We’re talking about the military science fiction franchise that shows a distant future where the known universe has been colonized by humans and a few alien species.

Mass Effect 5 is coming to the gaming world, or however you wish to call it. While it doesn’t have an official name just yet, we know for sure that it’s the next game in the Mass Effect series. Thanks to GamesRadar, we have a lot of precious details about the upcoming game.

The full development won’t begin until 2023

Those who are fans of the series still have plenty more to wait until the developers start the full development of the upcoming game. This means that there are likely a few years more to wait until the game itself launches.

The picture above was posted as part of N7 Day 2021, and it reveals that a new game is definitely in the works. It also reveals the presence of a Geth helmet. But that’s not all.

Back in early 2022, Gary McKay from BioWare, the firm that’s responsible for the development of the series, said something very interesting about the poster. He claims that there are at least five surprises among hidden treats. He also says that the poster is an indication of an amazing future for the universe of the series.

Here’s another reason to expect something really great from the new Mass Effect game: a team of veterans from BioWare will create it. For instance, Dusty Everman is among the dev team, playing the role of a principal narrative designer. Brenon Holmes, the technical designer, Parrish Ley, the former cinematic director, and Derek Watts, the original art director, are all joining the development squad as well.
