Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess Launch Details: Japanese Aesthetics, Intriguing Plot, and More

What do Japanese traditions have in common with Capcom’s Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, you may ask? Well, plenty of elements, including some aesthetic parts that, are going to make Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess a really immersive and fantastic game. During its Capcom Showcase, Capcom revealed that the upcoming release of the new single-player action role-playing game Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess will be available for purchase on Windows PCs, PlayStation 5, and Steam in addition to the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass. How impressive!

According to Capcom, the game continues in the tradition of the company’s past titles that featured beautiful traditional Japanese themes, such as Shinsekai: Into the Depths and Okami. The company’s RE Engine, which was initially devised for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard but has since been used for a variety of titles, including other Resident Evil games, Devil May Cry 5, and Street Fighter 6, was also utilized in the development of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.

But what exactly is it about Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess that makes it so compelling?

In the video game Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, we get straight from the beginning into quite the plot. We find out how some reckless people have desecrated a holy mountain. As a result, the mountain has literally materialized a plague that is spreading throughout the surrounding areas (ouch!). On top of that, as if the diseased flora and animals weren’t bad enough, they’ve drawn in monsters that are known as the Seethe.

Those beasts are vicious and pose a significant threat to humans. You will need to engage in combat with them and defeat the ones in need in order to make way for the Spirit Stone Maiden. This will allow the Spirit Stone Maiden to carry out the purification process and restore the lands.

That sums up pretty much all we have learned about the game up until this point. Unfortunately, Capcom has not even provided a date for the game’s release yet. So make sure you watch the official trailer again for more hidden details!
