iOS 17 Beta 2 Brings NameDrop and More Features

This redesign’s purpose is to enhance the user experience by streamlining the overall layout, resulting in improved navigation possibilities.

Apple has released the second beta version of iOS 17, following the initial release that took place at WWDC 2023. This new update brings exciting features to users and developers who are enrolled in Apple’s Beta Software Program, and NextPit brings details.

What is NameDrop

Notable additions of the new iOS 17 version include NameDrop, an enhanced version of AirDrop, which allows seamless contact information transfer between iPhones and Apple Watches. The new NameDrop feature implements captivating animations during the transfer process.

In case you’re not familiar, Apple Translate is an app developed by Apple, as you might have already surmised. This software utility is specifically designed to offer language translation services seamlessly across a range of Apple devices, such as iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. With this app, users have the possibility to swiftly and accurately translate both written text and spoken words between a multitude of languages in real-time.

Additionally, iOS 17 Beta 2 introduces the possibility to toggle notifications on or off in StandBy mode, a feature that turns an iPhone into a smart display while charging. Users now have greater control over the visibility of notifications on the StandBy screen.

These updates reflect Apple’s ongoing commitment to refining the iOS experience and enhancing user satisfaction.

The new iOS 17 update coming from Apple stands out for a few powerful features. We can also mention, for instance, the implementation of Live Voicemail and the StandBy mode.

You must also keep in mind if you’re an iOS user that, specific iPhones won’t receive the new iOS 17 update. Those iPhone models include iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X.
