‘Hogwarts Legacy’ Players Hate THIS Quest and Wish it Was Made Differently

Hogwarts Legacy is a huge success. The game has sold around 12 million copies in only two weeks, and most reviewers and players agree that it’s fantastic, especially if you’re a Harry Potter fan.

However, it is not without flaws. It has several performance issues, for instance. Additionally, some of its side content can be a little unoriginal, tiresome, or just poorly thought out.

With that being said, a specific aspect of the game has drawn criticism on the game’s Reddit page.

Most of the page is actually filled with positive comments and funny memes, but some criticism is also present.

For instance, one of the most popular Reddit posts on the game’s page is titled “Demiguises are a really awful bottleneck and Moon’s questline needs to be reworked,” and it appears that many other players agree since the post quickly amassed almost 3k votes and many comments that complained about the same thing.

The Reddit post in question reads that “There are several Metroidvania-style content gates in the game, and most work quite well, but the Demiguises don’t. It is ridiculous to me that a double digit percentage of doors are inaccessible and are locked behind a collecting quest that lacks objective markers and requires you to just fiddle with the time of day every single time you find a piece. What a drag. This type of low effort and boring tick the checkbox quest should be reserved for unlocking some concept art or a trophy for the completionists, not major parts of the game.”

Another user replied that “I just didn’t understand from a story perspective. I finished the mission and then got the resolution but to mess with Moon he just put statues in random people’s bedrooms that are locked behind closed doors? Didn’t anybody think they could have come up with a better reason?”

Naturally, it is now too late to change this aspect of the game, but we can only hope that Avalanche will take note of this critique and others like it when creating a possible sequel to Hogwarts Legacy.
