Google Will Significantly Improve the Pixel Watch 2

It wouldn’t be too far-fetched that at some point in the future, smartwatches will dethrone smartphones and become the bee’s knees. Having directly on your wrist the information, apps, and notifications you need seems more convenient than being forced to pull the phone out of your pocket.

Therefore, maybe it would be a good idea to keep an eye on the smartwatch market. Those devices are becoming more and more powerful each year, and plenty of companies know how to create them. Today, it’s time to talk about the Google Pixel Watch 2 smartwatch.

Google Pixel Watch 2 will likely carry a Qualcomm W5 processor

New reports indicate that the Pixel Watch 2 by Google will feature a Qualcomm W5 processor, improved battery life, and new health-tracking sensors, as XDA reveals after spotting the information on 9to5Google. The phone is expected to debut at some point in October.

If the information is true, the next Pixel Watch will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 SoC. The watch is anticipated to deliver increased performance compared to its predecessor. The report also suggests that Google has addressed the battery life issues that plagued the previous Pixel Watch, achieving up to a day of battery life with the always-on display (AOD) enabled.

Furthermore, the Pixel Watch could also incorporate features from Fitbit, which means that it might include a continuous electrodermal activity (cEDA) sensor for stress management and tracking, as well as a skin temperature sensor.

Google’s upcoming Pixel Watch is rumored to be launching alongside the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Interestingly enough, there’s no certainty that the upcoming smartwatch will indeed be called Pixel Watch 2, but most hints indicate such a moniker for the device. Whatever it shall be called, what’s for sure is that Google has all the reasons to prepare a truly outstanding smartwatch.
