Google Bard Becomes Available in European Countries

Many of those who like to get their homework done using AI chatbots will now have a new reason to celebrate. Google’s Bard app, which can be considered an alternative to the controversial and famous ChatGPT tool built by OpenAI, has now become available across Europe.

But guess what? The good news is far from over, as Google has also made Bard available in more languages. Those who live in Brazil also have access to the software.

The information has been shared by an official blog post of Google:

Starting today, you can collaborate with Bard in over 40 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, German, Hindi and Spanish. You can also now access Bard in more places, including Brazil and across Europe. As part of our bold and responsible approach to AI, we’ve proactively engaged with experts, policymakers and privacy regulators on this expansion.

Google also promises to bring the Bard chatbot to more regions and languages over time, as the company will continue to use AI Principles as a guide, integrate user feedback, and even protect people’s privacy and data more.

Users of Google Bard also have the potential to improve the software through their feedback. Depending on the responses received, users have the possibility to give a thumbs up or thumbs down appreciation. In this way, they can tell Google if the software needs to be improved in certain ways or not. Even though AI chatbots are built so that they will give answers to almost anything the user asks, such tools certainly don’t “know” everything. In other words, the users are those who can make AI chatbots better, which is why they are being asked to provide their feedback in one way or another.

Google Bard was initially launched back in March 2023, and you can access it directly in the browser from just about any device.
