God of War Ragnarök Will Feature 4K and Dynamic 4K Resolution

With the release of God of War Ragnarök being announced by Sony Santa Monica to take place on the 9th of November, 2022, we now get more information about the highly anticipated game.

The newly revealed details refer to the render modes that will be available and some of the audio features of the game. Therefore, wccftech.com reports that ShopTo, a UK retailer, has already sent e-mails with pre-order notifications for the game, which also include some official information released by Sony. The e-mail message reads as follows:

– Feel your journey through the Norse realms, made possible by immersive haptic feedback and adaptive trigger functionality.

– Take advantage of multidirectional 3D Audio; hear enemies approaching from any direction.

– Bask in the beautiful worlds you travel through, brought to life by precise art direction and arresting attention to detail.

– Switch between full 4K resolution at a targeted 30 frames per second, or dynamic resolution upscaled to 4K at a targeted 60fps.

Fans of God of War were pleased with the new information, considering that the 2018 version of the game only featured 30fps resolution. At the same time, the dynamic 4k resolution is also good news, even if the native resolution at which it will run is not yet known.

The trailer for the new God of War Ragnarök also dropped last week, feeding the enthusiasm of the game’s fandom.

The trailer dwells on the relationship between Father and Son and offers a sneak peek into the gameplay and the trials that Kratos and Atreus will have to pass in order to complete their mission and find the answers they are looking for.

At the same time, Playstation has revealed the God of War Ragnarök’s Collector’s Edition, which was presented by Thor star, actor Ryan Hurst and the Art Director of the Santa Monica Studio, Rafael Grassetti. Apart from the elegant packaging, this edition of the game also comes with multiple perks, described in detail by wccftech.com:

Printed voucher code for the full God of War Ragnarök game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.

– A Steelbook Display Case (no game disc included) – The God of War Ragnarök Steelbook Display Case depicts renditions of the Bear and the Wolf.

– 2” Vanir Twins Carvings – In the same style as Atreus’ wooden toy carvings of the Huldra Brothers from the God of War (2018) Collector’s Edition, the God of War Ragnarök Collector’s Edition completes the set with carvings of the Vanir Twins.

– Dwarven Dice Set – This set comes with a set of dice with a quality wood-like finish in a dice bag with a symbol of Yggdrasil on the outside.

– 16” Mjölnir Replica – A highly detailed replica of Thor’s signature weapon from God of War Ragnarök.
