There’s no wonder why the Team of the Year for 2021 of the famous FIFA 22 game contains three names from Manchester City. We’re talking about one of the best football teams in the world, one that has won the Premier League six times already, and it’s regularly present in the Champions League competition.
According to si.com, Manchester City has three players in the FIFA 2022 TOTY for 2021: the Belgian midfielder Kevin DeBruyne and the Portuguese defenders Joao Cancelo and Ruben Diaz.
The additions to the TOTY come after millions of FIFA 22 players and other football lovers from all across the globe provided their votes.
There’s no wonder how the three boys from Manchester City got there. All three of them were hugely important for the club based in Manchester, and they surely have many more exciting matches to make under Pep Guardiola’s command, the team’s manager.
However, the rest of the players selected shouldn’t surprise you as well, as they’ve been hugely influential at their clubs and even their national teams.
If you thought that Manchester City is privileged enough to have three players in the Team of the Year for FIFA 2022, you’d better keep in mind that Paris-Saint Germain has five lads in the squad!
Behold:
As for the rest of the team, we can say that it’s pretty predictable. There’s the scoring machine Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munchen and the Polish National Team. Last but not least, two midfielders from Chelsea are also there in the squad: N’Golo Kante and Jorginho.
