Back in the Tournament of Power arc of Dragon Ball Super, Goku left everyone speechless when he achieved the Ultra Instinct transformation. It’s a form that even the gods struggle to master, and it’s far stronger than the Super Saiyan Blue transformation.
It was only a matter of time until video games would also start to implement Goku’s new technique. It happens likewise in the case of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, as a future DLC is set to bring the beloved Saiyan’s strongest transformation of all.
We have very little time to wait until we get to see Ultra Instinct Sign Goku as he battles powerful opponents once again during the Tournament of Power! The mighty Saiyan never backs down from a fight. We can remember from the anime that by using his ultimate technique, Goku battled Kefla and Jiren.
SPOILERS AHEAD! If you don’t want to be spoiled, stop reading now!
Goku achieved the transformation back in the anime at a moment when the beloved Saiyan looked like he was finished. It happened during the first battle against Jiren. When he saw that nothing worked against his opponent, Goku used the Spirit Bomb. But that didn’t work either, as Jiren managed to push it away and even cause it to explode. Goku was caught in the explosion itself, and it looked like our hero was history. But the Spirit Bomb itself somehow pushed Goku’s boundaries even further and unlocked his huge hidden potential. That was known as the Ultra Instinct technique.
If we now take a look at how things are going in the Dragon Ball Super manga, only Vegeta’s Ultra Ego form is able to rival Goku’s Ultra Instinct. The two Saiyans are still rivals, although they still need to team up.
