Dragon Ball Super Explains Why Majin Buu’s Power is God Level

You can laugh at the appearance of Majin Buu as much as you like. But the truth is that back in the day of the Dragon Ball Z era, his power was much higher than that of any other villain. Although he has become one of the good guys in the meantime, Majin Buu was initially stronger than anybody else.

Majin Buu is so strong that he is able to regenerate himself quickly after every blow. You can fire 10 Kemahemehas at him – he’ll still recover before you say “Special Beam Cannon.” Villains able to regenerate their bodies don’t represent something new in Dragon Ball, but Majin Buu’s regeneration ability is faster and more efficient than that of others. Cell, Moro, and Meta Cooler have a lot to learn from Buu, trust us!

Now, the million-dollar question arises: why is Majin Buu so damn powerful? The answer lies in one of the chapters of the Dragon Ball Super Manga.

Majin Buu’s God Ki is to blame, according to Chapter 49

In Chapter #49 of Dragon Ball Super Manga, it is explained that Majin Buu had the Grand Supreme Kai’s God Ki on his side when he was in his complete state, as ScreenRant has discovered. However, when Evil Buu was destroyed, the God Ki went with it and was reincarnated back into Uub, the young human child who challenged Goku at the World Martial Arts Tournament.

This meant that the Grand Supreme Kai wasn’t able to use his Kai Kai Matoru technique to seal Moro’s magic, as he wasn’t left with enough Ki. Knowing that Buu Saga-era Buu was wielding that kind of power explains why he was such a destructive and near-unbeatable villain. Unfortunately, with that Ki almost completely gone now that Buu’s a good guy, his ability in combat has been severely limited.
