Diablo Immortal Already Earns Incredible Amount of Money in Just Two Weeks After Launch

Blizzard Entertainment’s MMORPG Diablo Immortal came out this year on June 2 for PC and mobile phones (Android and iPhones), and the developers already have reasons to boast about huge earnings. Playing the game is as cheap as chips – well-it’s actually free to play, which obviously makes the game more attractive! Seriously, who likes to pay for video games?

GameDev Reports speaks about Diablo Immortal already earning a huge amount of money for the mobile platforms just two weeks after its launch. Get ready to hear about the exact amount, as it will probably make you fall off your chair!

Diablo Immortal earns $24.3 million from Google Play and Apple’s App Store

There’s no use beating around the bush here. Diablo Immortal made the developers from Blizzard earn $24.3 million, according to the same source mentioned above – $13 million were generated from the App Store, while $11.3 million came from the Google Play Store. Perhaps even more incredible, the game was downloaded about 8.5 million times for that specific period of time, while the peak occurred in the first days after the launch.

We can easily see in the Google Play Store ourselves that the game has surpassed 5 million downloads!

If you wish to learn even more about Diablo Immortal, here’s the game’s description from Apple’s App Store:

Clash with armies of demons, collect epic loot, and gain unimaginable power.

Explore the dark realm of Sanctuary like never before, now a massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) where angels and demons wage an endless war over dominion of the mortal realm. Join forces with other players on an epic quest to collect the shattered fragments of the corrupted Worldstone and prevent the Lord of Terror’s return.

Although Diablo Immortal is a free-to-play RPG, it offers in-game transactions to generate income. Has Blizzard been barking up the wrong tree with such a policy? It’s up to gamers to tell their opinion.
