CS:GO Maps Are Recreated With Nuke Themes in Amazing Concept Video

Do you have a minute to talk about Counter-Strike: Global Offensive? You’ve probably never imagined maps like the Cache, Office, and Mirage getting recreated with Nuke-based themes. Neither did us. But now’s the chance to think higher of the renowned multiplayer first-person shooter and the modding abilities of some of its players.

You should definitely check out the amazing work done by YouTuber and CS:GO player 3kliksphilip. He reskinned three maps of the free-to-play game in the style of the Nuke map. You can find all three maps in the Steam Workshop, but until that moment, behold the impressive outcome:

Otherwise, there are nine main maps in CS:GO that are played regularly in competitive environments: Dust II, Cobblestone, Overpass, Nuke, Cache, Mirage, Inferno, Train, Vertigo, and Overpass.

Free-to-play since December 2018

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive wasn’t always free, as until December 2018, those willing to get a taste of the first-person shooter had to pay about $14.99. CS: GO was released in August 2012 after being developed for over two years by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment. The game is very similar in gameplay to the legendary Counter-Strike 1.6, although it has many improvements. However, some fans will always claim that the 1.6 version is better due to the unique sounds of the piercing bullets, the easier access for online servers, and of course: being purely subjective.

If you haven’t tried CS:GO already, there’s worth knowing that the game doesn’t have high demands regarding the system configuration. These specifications will surely be enough:

  • CPU: Intel® Coreâ„¢2 Duo E6600 2.4 GHz or AMD Phenomâ„¢ X3 8750 2.4 GHz.
  • GPU: Any video card with a minimum of 256 MB of VRAM.
  • RAM: 2 GB.
  • HDD: 15 GB.
  • OS: Windows XP or higher.
  • DirectX: 9.0c or higher.

Oddly enough, CS:GO is still not available for PS4. You can play the game on Windows and Linux PC, as well as on Classic Mac OS, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
