Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 5 Release Date

Following the “chilling” finale of season 4, fans of the series wanted nothing more than to see how the story would unfold in the next installment and thankfully, it’s been confirmed that they’ll get their wish after all!

That’s right! As you may or may not be aware, season 5 of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is coming next year, on October 23, as previously announced by Netflix.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is based on a comic book of the same title and tells the dark tale of Sabrina Spellman, a half witch and half mortal teenager that must deal with her dual nature and the evil forces that threaten the balance of her life, town, family, as well as the lives and wellbeing of her mortal friends.

It was first launched on October 26, 2018 and ran for 4 seasons or a total of 36 episodes.

Due to receiving many positive reviews, the series was renewed for a second season which was split into two parts, each of those containing 8 episodes.

The first part was released on Netflix on January 24, 2018 while the second part was released nearly a year later, on December 31, 2020.

Seasons 3 and 4 were received with similar reviews as well but unfortunately, after the latter wrapped up, it seemed as if it was over for good since Netflix kept quiet after seemingly dropping the show.

Fans were particularly disappointed since the news came after speculations that season 5 would feature an exciting and intriguing crossover with Riverdale since the two shows are set in the same fictional universe.

Fortunately, season 4 was not the end after all and now, a new installment has been finally confirmed!

While not much else is known about it at this point, it is believed that season 5 will be divided into two 8-episode parts as well.

Last season left the main character, Sabrina, in a rather ambiguous situation so it makes sense as to why fans of the series were so against the series wrapping up there, after only four seasons.

Seeing this, Netflix decided to make more episodes after all, for the sake of the die-hard fans who could not stand that ending.

For now, there is not much information about it all, with a trailer for season 5 being yet to be released.

In the meantime, to make the wait less unbearable, you can refresh your memory on all that’s taken place by checking out the first four seasons on Netflix again!
