Chainsaw Man Cosplay Features Real, Revving Chainsaw!

Chainsaw Man has been gaining a lot of attention, becoming a really successful anime from its very debut!

As you can imagine, this has led to some fans trying their best to cosplay the titular character and one of them has won the internet after figuring out how to incorporate an actual, working chainsaw into Denji’s devil form!

The story of the Chainsaw Man starts with a down on his luck young boy fusing with his one and only friend, a demon known as Pochita.

This is how he becomes the so-called Chainsaw Man, taking down other devils all the while trying to achieve his dream of living a good life in the end.

The anime is based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s hugely popular manga series with the same name and the debut season introduces fans to the main character, a complicated but compelling one.

With chainsaws tearing through his body and head, there is no doubt that the series presents an intriguing visual, one that is bound to inspire artists everywhere.

Sure enough, @strblz on TikTok is one of the talented fans who were inspired to create an impossible cosplay that takes the very concept of cosplay to the next level!

As mentioned before, the costume features a real, revving chainsaw blade.

It looks really dangerous and possibly even painful but hopefully that is not the case.

The anime’s first season will be running for 12 episodes in total and there is a different ending theme accompanying each of them, which only adds to the excitement and interest.

If you are yet to watch it but are interested in joining the adventure, check out Chainsaw Man on Crunchyroll.

The official synopsis reads: “Denji is a teenage boy who lives with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt that his father left behind, he has been living a rock bottom life while repaying the debt by harvesting devil corpses along with Pochita. One day, he is betrayed and gets killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita, getting  revived as ‘Chainsaw Man’ –a man with a devil’s heart.”

Chainsaw Man is directed by Ryu Nakayama for studio MAPPA and features Hiroshi Seko as the screenplay writer.

The impressive character design has been provided by Kazutaka Sugiyama while the main voice actors are Kikunosuke Toya, Tomori Kusunoki, Shogo Sakata, Fairouz Ai and Shiori Izawa.

Of course, many other iconic characters are expected to show up throughout the season as well so stay tuned!
