Booster Shots Dramatically Increase Survival Chances For Elderly People

Only one-fiftieth of the probability of COVID mortality compared with non-vaccinated individuals with the same age group once boosters is fully immunized.

The Ministry of Health has reported that 6.43 fatalities per 100,000 Israelis aged more than 60% each day occurred over the final seven days of September. The average was 0,13 among the elderly who had been immunized 3 times.

The data show that the move from two shots to three shots has saved a lot of lives. If Israelis who are immunized twice receive their third injection, 112-fold of the danger of death are eliminated.

“These are dramatic figures. They show clearly that the decrease in the current wave is due to vaccination, and point to the effectiveness of inoculation. You can deduce that if we were all vaccinated there would be very low severe cases and deaths” explained Prof. Ehud Grossman.

He added the findings emphasize the extent to which the ongoing refusal of about 900,000 eligible Israelis is increasing the effect of this virus, noting that in critical instances there is also a considerable disparity between vaccinated and non-vaccinated.

The results reveal that elderly adults who do not take COVID-19 vaccines are 65 times more likely to get critically sick.

Of Israelis aged 60 and over triple-vaccinated, 2.6 are in a severe condition out of 100,000. The number is 168.5 for those unvaccinated. Boosters function well to prevent people from becoming very ill. Of the more than 60,000 Israelis, 2,5 serious cases are 28,5 compared with 2,6 for the 3-fold. There are 28,5 severe conditions per 100,000.

Starting at the end of March to the end of September, the amount of COVID-19 patients treated with ventilators for the first time was over 200 and presently stands at 205. In all, 588 patients are severely affected. Data from the Health Ministry indicate that young individuals that are not vaccinated are at greater risk for serious disease as well as older persons.

6.4 individuals in every 100,000 under the 60s are presently seriously affected by Coronavirus, opposed to just 0.2 people in triples and 1.4 in doubles.
