ASUS ROG Ally Has a Launch Date for India

Handheld consoles will probably become the new real deal in town for those who are in love with gaming. The concept was introduced by Nintendo back in 2017 due to the Nintendo Switch console. That device proved that it’s possible to have a console that’s both portable and efficient. You can carry it around in your briefcase or backpack easily.

The new ASUS ROG Ally is another handheld gaming console that came out on June 13. It runs on the AMD Ryzen Z1 Processor and uses Windows 11 as the operating system. Other important specs of the new ROG Ally console from ASUS are the AMD Radeon Graphics GPU (AMD RDNA 3, 4 CUs, a maximum of 2.5GHz and 2.8 Teraflops).

ASUS ROG Ally launches on July 12 in India

According to GSMArena, ASUS has revealed the official launch date for its ROG Ally handheld gaming console on the Indian market, which is set for July 12. It will be available for purchase through ASUS Exclusive Stores, ASUS EShop, as well as Flipkart. Additionally, a one-day exclusive flash sale will take place on July 7, and it will be hosted by Flipkart.

The ROG Ally boasts a 7-inch 1080p 120Hz VRR display, 16GB LPDDR5 memory, 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 storage, as well as a 40Wh battery. Priced at INR 69,990, the device will come with a complimentary ROG Ally case for the first 200 customers who buy the product from ASUS EShop or ASUS Stores on the launch day.

But how good is the ASUS ROG Ally handheld gaming console compared to Nintendo Switch? The ROG Ally offers more powerful hardware, as it packs the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and a 12CU Radeon RDNA 3 GPU. It also features an impressive display, 16GB LPDDR5 memory, and 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 storage. When it comes to specifications, the ROG Ally surpasses the Nintendo Switch.

However, it’s important to keep in mind that the Nintendo Switch has the advantage of an extensive game library, and we can mention popular first-party titles like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Animal Crossing. The Switch device also offers the unique feature of transitioning between handheld and TV-based gameplay, making it versatile for different play styles.
