Assassin’s Creed Manhwa to Be Released on Webtoon!

Assassin’s Creed is rapidly becoming one of the most varied IPs in entertainment. It appears to have become an expert at reinventing itself over the years, whether in video game form, books, or movies and that is not all!

As it turns out, the popular series is now prepared to enter the brand new Webtoon market with a unique manhwa, and the Solo Leveling studio will be responsible for the webcomic’s illustration. How exciting!

Ubisoft’s director for global TV and transmedia business development, Julien Fabre, shared the following statement: “We’re thrilled about expanding the Assassin’s Creed series to Webtoon thanks to this amazing collab with Webtoon and Redice Studio. We have been working hard with the talented folks at Redice in order to craft this original Assassin’s Creed Black Flag sequel and hope existing fans as well as new readers around the world will enjoy it.”

This new material will be called Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple, as per Ubisoft and Webtoon.

Fans of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag (2013) will recognize Edward Kenway, a rookie assassin.

Kenway will be followed by the cartoonist as he looks for the Pieces of Eden. Noa, a Korean-American descendant of Kenway, will go with the assassin on this trip.

As this webcomic progresses, Noa will be looking for hints regarding her lineage, and as you may already assume, she is sure to discover some of them.

David Lee, who is the VP of content for Webtoon, also released a statement of his own, saying that “As longtime fans of the franchise, we cannot wait for readers to see where Edward Kenway’s story heads next. This incredible series will captivate fans of the Assassin’s Creed games while also introducing this beloved IP to a brand new audience on Webtoon.”

Fans of Webtoon and comics in general. should be acquainted with the moniker Redice Studios as well, of course. After all, the artist Sung-Rak Aang from Solo Leveling served as the company’s CEO.

Redice has taken over many popular webcomics in recent years, including Omniscient Reader.

Readers will want to catch up on the series once it arrives on April 24 because Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple is now joining the studio’s portfolio as well!
