Apple Rises the Price For Battery Replacement, But Only For Older iPhones

We bet you didn’t see this coming, but Apple has increased older iPhone models’ battery replacement costs.

This may be the ideal moment to acquire a battery replacement if you have an iPhone 13 or an earlier handset with a deteriorated battery. The tech giant based in Cupertino announced that the price of out-of-warranty battery service for all iPhone variants (apart from the iPhone 14) would increase by $20.

Expensive Battery Replacement Service by Apple: What to Expect?

If you have an iPhone 13 or older model with a depleted battery, now may be the ideal time to replace it. The tech giant has stated on its website that out-of-warranty battery service for all iPhone models (excluding the iPhone 14) will increase by $20. Well, that’s quite unexpected, right?!

So, iPhone’s battery service will rise from $69 to $89 beginning in March. Such a price increase doesn’t apply to the iPhone 14 series, which has always cost $99 from the start.

And there’s more.

For more recent iPhone models, including the iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11, and iPhone X, Apple came up with a $69 fee. On the other hand, the price for the iPhone SE, iPhone 8, and older versions is $49, but starting March 1, 2023, that’ll change by $20!

Last year, the tech giant based in Cupertino announced the self-service repair store as an alternate choice for authorized battery repairs using authentic components. At the moment, the cost of doing it through Apple and the part pricing on the self-service website are roughly equivalent.

However, that could totally change in March, too.
