Apple Has Allegedly a Unique Version of iPadOS 17 in Development But For Bigger iPads of 14.1-inch

Based on a fresh report, Apple has something good cooking: a special version of iPadOS 17 for bigger iPad sizes. Thanks to Twitter user @analyst941, a special version of Apple’s future iPad software will enable the more and cooler advanced features of a variety of larger iPads that are in the works. The best thing? It is starting with a 14.1-inch iPad with an M3 Pro CPU that is scheduled for delivery next year. How great is that?!

The recent report, though, doesn’t come with new stuff. While reputable display expert Ross Young once claimed that a cooler 14.1-inch iPad Pro with a mini-LED display was planned to appear in the first quarter of 2023, Bloomberg has frequently addressed Apple’s interest in larger iPads. And as a matter of fact there are already many speculations regarding the release date and size of the initial models; Apple is actually thought to have been working on iPads with even bigger displays since mid-2021.

However, based on @analyst941’s claims, iPadOS 17 will enable the 14.1-inch iPad model’s ability to operate up to two 6K screens at 60Hz through Thunderbolt 4. This might be accomplished via daisy-chaining screens, but there’s also a catch! It could actually mean that the bigger iPad has more than one Thunderbolt connector.

The current 12.9-inch iPad Pro size would be totally surpassed by the 14.1-inch iPad, making it the biggest iPad to date. The leaker went on further saying that the tech giant could choose an exclusive new name for the larger upcoming iPad in order to set them apart from the current ones. It’s somehow making sense, isn’t it?!

We might see iPads named “iPad Ultra” or “iPad Studio,” or whatever names Apple is into nowadays.
