Acer is expanding its Vero brand with a Chromebook, which it claims will come with a sleek ‘eco-conscious’ approach.

The best part is that the new Vero 514 is made using recycled plastics and has a chassis that’s 99 % recyclable. And all of that in cool packaging that’s 90 % recycled paper!

Acer Vero 514 Specs and Features

Acer Vero 514 weighs just more than 3 pounds, has a 14-inch display, and is powered by a 12th-gen Intel CPU with Xe graphics.

It can also be configured with many CPUs, including the Core i3-1215U, the five-core Pentium Gold 8505, a Core i7-1255U, and the Core i5-1235U. And that’s not everything that makes the new Vero 514 so nice!

If you choose the touchscreen option, the 1080p screen is protected by Gorilla Glass, making it feel pretty decent. Its 300 nits of brightness won’t be ideal if you regularly work in direct sunlight. However, it’s a massive upgrade over the 227-nit display features on the Windows variants, right?

FACT: Vero 514 will improve the color rendering of the original Vero, whereas the Windows one could only show 66 % of the sRGB spectrum; Acer promises 100 % coverage for its Chromebook.
